Antonio Brown Bad Fit

Bruce Arians says Antonio Brown bad fit for Buccaneers. After the Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced their signing of former New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady. There was some speculation that the Buccaneers could bring in former All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown, who missed most of the 2019 season.

Even though Brady has some familiarity with Brown after playing together briefly last season. Also, head coach Bruce Arians was his offensive coordinator in Pittsburgh. Arians put the rumors to bed last week when he announced that the Buccaneers will not be going after Brown.

During an appearance on the “Tiki and Tierney” show, the former New York Giants running back asked Arians about the possibility of the team signing Brown. What came next?

“Yeah, it’s not gonna happen,” Arians said. “There’s no room. And probably not enough money. But it’s not gonna happen — it’s not a fit here.”

Even though Tierney pointed out that the Buccaneers could use another receiver. For the reason that Breshad Perriman, who had 645 receiving yards and six touchdowns last season, signed with the New York Jets as a free agent.
“No,” Arians said. When asked if it was because he didn’t trust what Brown would do for the culture of the team, Arians said, “Yeah, I just know him, and — it’s not a fit in our locker room.”

Last season, during an appearance on the “Adam Schefter Podcast”, Arians said Brown was “too much of a diva.”

“I’ve heard so many stories — I like Antonio — he plays as hard as anybody on Sunday, and he practices hard. He’s just gotta make better decisions off the field, be on time, do some of those little things,” Arians said.

With the Buccaneers bringing back two receivers that had over 1,100 receiving yards each, not having Brown on the team is a luxury the Buccaneers can afford. Is this the end for AB?
