Jamal Adams Hopes He is traded to Dallas Cowboys

New York Jets safety Jamal Adams requested a trade from the team last week due to his frustration with his contract negotiation. At the time he made the demand. There was a list of seven teams he said he would be open to being traded to including the Dallas Cowboys.

However, in a video that was posted on social media over the weekend, Adams apparently prefers to be traded to the Dallas Cowboys. Or does he?

In the video, which was presumably shot Sunday in the Dallas area, a fan spotted Adams in his Mercedes SUV and asked, “You coming to Dallas?”

Adams replied, “I’m trying, bro.”

Even though the Jets said they do not have any intention of trading Adams. Adams could try to force their hand by being disruptive and staging a training camp holdout. Sound familiar?

Adams, who is signed through the 2021 season, has made it clear that he wants a new contract by the start of the regular season. The regular season is three months away. For their part, the Jets have repeatedly said they want Adams to be “a Jet for life.” However, the team has not made any public statement about giving him a new deal before the start of the season.

The relationship between Adams and the Jets front office turned sour last season. This after the team reportedly tried to trade him during the season. The Cowboys showed some interest in Adams. However, didn’t pull the trigger on the deal. For the reason that the Jets were asking for a first round pick. Jets also asked for two second rounders. This was too rich for the Cowboys.

In conclusion Adam said, “Ima protect myself. Just like an organization will look out for themselves. At the end of the day.” Adams said. “& if you guys don’t respect that, cool. It’s all luv. Maybe it’s time to move on!”
