Super Bowl LI Longshot Matchups

If you have been following the 2016 NFL season, you probably know that anything can and will happen. Much of the early money has been on the Seahawks and Patriots for Super Bowl LI. Let’s explore some alternative possibilities for potential matchups in Super Bowl LI.

Super Bowl LI Longshot Matchups

Oakland Raiders vs. Dallas Cowboys

Could these two former football dynasties rise back to prominence under their young quarterbacks? Raiders QB Derek Carr is a 3rd year quarterback who has developed into one of the leagues most accurate passers. Dak Prescott is benefiting from his pinpoint accuracy while also being protected by one of the best offensive lines in the NFL.

Oakland and Dallas could very well meet each other in the Super Bowl. The Cowboys are getting 5/1 betting odds to win Super Bowl LI while Oakland is getting 18/1 odds.

Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Denver Broncos can never be counted out of the Super Bowl. While Trevor Siemian is a game managing quarterback at best, teams have won the Super Bowl with game managers at the starting QB position.

Like the Broncos, the Seahawks are always a threat to make the playoffs as well. The Seahawks seem to be playing better than they did earlier in the year. Doug Baldwin seems to have found his stride while Russell Wilson looks to be in complete control of the team.

Online sportsbooks have listed the Seahawks at 5/1 favorites to win the Super Bowl while the Denver Broncos are being listed at 20/1 betting odds.
