Tampa Bay Buccaneers Super Bowl LI Chances
There’s no doubt that 2016 has been the year of surprises. Could the Tampa Bay Buccaneers find a way into the playoffs and potentially win Super Bowl LI? Anything is possible in the NFL that’s what makes the games so much fun to watch.
Currently, sportsbooks are laying the Buccaneers 50/1 odds to win the Super Bowl this year. That’s great price, considering the fact that the Buccaneers have defeated several quality teams. When you watch the Bucs play, two things become clear:
* Jameis Winston is playing better
* Tampa Bay’s defense is stepping up
It also doesn’t hurt that the team is getting healthier by the weak. Mike Evans might be the best deep threat that no one is talking about this season. Doug Martin has come back from injury and the team finds itself in the midst of a 4 game winning streak going into Week 14.
If the Buccaneers defeat the Saints and the Falcons stumble against the Rams, the Buccaneers would find themselves in 1st place. If the Falcons beat the Rams, the Buccaneers are still in a great spot to win the NFL Wild Card.
As it stands now, if Tampa Bay were to be the #6 team in the NFC playoffs, they’d likely face Lions in the first round. If the Bucs beat the Lions, they’d likely play the Cowboys. If the Bucs could somehow beat Dallas, they could likely prove that they have what it takes to win the Super Bowl in 2017.
